Goals
Design a custom logo that’s intriguing and stands out while staying warm and professional.
Incorporate the brand’s namesake: a mechanical drake. Draw inspiration from DaVinci’s sketches.
Create something middle-aged tech managers would be drawn to.
Solution:
A determined drake paired with a customized serif font, set in gold, completed with blue grid lines. The drake is a mixture of organic and mechanical influences, alluding to the blend of human and machine work being done at Mechanical Drake. The responsive logo suite is paired with a bold, slab serif font and a versatile sans serif typeface.
Benefits:
Mechanical Drake’s ideal clients likely grew up playing D&D and Magic: The Gathering, and will resonate with the dragon-like mascot. The color palette is professional without being stereotypical tech colors, which will help Mechanical Drake stand out in a crowded market.
